Online Entertainment for Kids
True Athlete is the world's first and definitive online sports arena and social network for children. It brings together the best of virtual worlds, casual games, social networking and sports. It's the next evolution in online entertainment for kids, targeting a new generation of aspirational users who are interested in exploring their ability to play grown-up sporting games. True Athlete will allow these children to accomplish online what they cannot yet do in the real world. The added benefit is that the site also includes a covert educational experience in that sportsmanship, teamwork and even learning (i.e., nutrition, math, etc.) is a part of the ongoing gaming experience.
Education
Education is the cornerstone of the True Athlete web experience. The parent's input as to their child's age and grade will allow the True Athlete technology to ask the appropriate questions from accredited school text and curriculum.
True Athlete will communicate the educational highlights to each child's parents letting them know their child's scores and progress.
The gaming experience will also create an opportunity of commerce for the players to assist in education on key financial values (earning, saving, and investing). The community will be based on a universal currency of gold, silver, and bronze coins that the player can earn through game play, answering questions based on their grade level, and by earning interest on the currency in their account. They will be able to customize their character to distinguish themselves by converting their currency into items such as personalized jerseys with name and number or building a customized car.
It's important to understand True Athlete doesn't have a goal to make your kids pro athletes but to use sports to make education fun.
Game Play
Game play on the True Athlete site is as varied as the sports world. We have multiple player games like Two on Two basketball or H-O-R-S-E, Three on Three soccer, Dodge ball, Beach Volleyball, and BMX racing to name a few. The multiple player online games (MMOG) have a pickup nature like a playground or local sports field.
Players show up after school meet their friends and to play Two-on-Two basketball. The winner stays on court and the next team tries to defeat the reigning champ. Become the champ and see how long your team rules. Or just shoot hoops and chat with your friends about the latest sports scores or your math test. Special events such as challenges, tournaments and even an Olympics will be introduced throughout the year to engage the players and reward activity not just on skill but also teamwork and sportsmanship.
Active Avatar Evolution
Each game player will be able to customize his or her own character to start the game. As they progress in their abilities, their character will go through an evolution by gaining muscle and size to create an almost super hero character.
True Athlete Training Center
True Athlete Training Center is a place where pro athletes give tips and inspiration in the sports that made them famous. True Athlete will hand pick pros to teach anything from how to catch a football, to the importance of proper nutrition for optimal performance.
Premium and Family Membership
Access to the True Athlete site will always be free. Kids will be able to come, chat with their friends play basic games and answer questions at the Challenge center. True Athlete offers a premium membership where players get access to the highest levels of each game. Premium members will get total access to Train with the Pro, including live chat with the pros online via their avatar character. Premium members get a monthly allowance of coins to save or buy stuff in the True Athlete Universe.
True Athlete offers family memberships at discounted rates with many benefits. Upload highlights from your child's soccer, basketball or baseball season and receive it in a bound form for grand parents, parents or a keepsake for your children.
Sponsorship
The True Athlete experience will include opportunities to partner with companies of like mind in helping achieve the goal of helping the youth of the world. Elements of sponsorship will be integrated into the games themselves such as billboards at the baseball game on through to the communications with parents providing positive updates on their children's success.
